About Me

I am a stay-at-home momma to two delightful children. Aydon is four years old and Emma is one. I live in Bolivia, South America. My husband and I run a small church here, and my husband is working hard on becoming fluent in Spanish. I love to play with my children! We are known to play cars, police, train track, and "kids music band". I also love to cook, and am busy learning Bolivian recipes.

I am a Christian, though I do not like many of the mental images associated with that term. I am not a fan of the so-called Christian subculture. I believe that the Bible is the inspired word of God, and should be interpreted literally, though with a view towards the grammatical and historical context of each book in mind.

I believe that true life is found in Christ, and not in a bunch of Christian mumbo-jumbo. Christ came to give us abundant life. He calls us to walk in freedom in our new life. He calls us to walk in the light rather than in the darkness. He calls us to let our roots grow deep into the soil of His love. He calls us to be truthful, seekers of justice wrapped in garments of mercy, compassion, gentleness, kindness, and forgiveness.

This blog documents my journey in grace-filled, forgiveness-giving parenting. I hope to dole out unconditional love and inspiration to other moms. We ALL need encouragement!
